Homemade Coffee Can Ice Cream

Summer picnics are great. Shady trees, days at the park, a wicker basket filled with your favorite foods and a perfect time for . . . ICE CREAM. Best of all, prep this treat before hand to minimize mess and keep things chilled.
1 lb coffee can with lid
Duct tape
Ice
Rock salt (though table salt will do)
A cooler, like this nifty picnic basket cooler!
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
*PRE-PREP: Pour all of the ingredients except toppings into a freezer bag, shake it up, and partially freeze it. Pack the pre-made ice cream mix with the ice and cans in a cooler to stay cold it's time to make the ice cream!

2. Put the smaller coffee can inside the larger coffee can and pack ice all around it. Sprinkle salt in with the ice. Put the lid on the can and seal it up with duct tape. Roll the can back and forth for 10 minutes.
3. Unseal the larger can. (Optional: Unseal the smaller can and add toppings. Reseal.) Add more ice and salt. Reseal the outer can and roll can back and forth for another 10 minutes!
4. Unseal cans and serve the ice cream!
Leave the smaller can inside the larger one to keep ice cream chilled!

Put the smaller coffee can inside the larger coffee can and pack ice all around it. Sprinkle salt in with the ice. Put the lid on the can and seal it up with duct tape. Roll the can back and forth for 10 minutes.
